Walt Disney is sticking around, jellyfish are going away while snow monkeys arrive, and David Bowie, as represented by his artifacts, is coming to town.
The fall museum calendar is a busy one, unveiling new shows and new events as well as the reprise of old favorites. Big among them is the return of “Illumination,” the cutting-edge holiday lights show at The Morton Arboretum, for a second year. Meanwhile, the Museum of Science and Industry, instead of mounting a new temporary exhibition about an American icon, as in past autumns, is holding over its Walt Disney show through the holidays. And Shedd Aquarium, in January, will finally bid farewell to its long-running and oft-photographed “Jellies” exhibition.
